Our Role & Legal Authority
The Commission administers designated Advertising & Promotion Tax revenue and directs expenditures toward purposes authorized by Arkansas law and applicable City ordinances.
These purposes include promoting Ozark and its surrounding area, supporting qualifying tourism activities, and investing in eligible cultural, recreational, and tourism-related facilities.
A&P funds are restricted public revenues. They cannot be used for ordinary city or county operating expenses, general capital improvements, or unrestricted subsidies to civic organizations.
Our responsibility is to strengthen Ozark as a visitor destination through responsible tourism promotion, community investment within our statutory authority, and public accountability.
